JD is the Chief Technology Officer of the Planetary Skin Institute, on secondment from Cisco. He has over 20 years of experience in the ICT industry. As CTO, JD has responsibility for championing cross-sector and cross-discipline system of systems disruptive innovations, proof of concepts, prototypes, and business architectures.
JD’s applied research efforts have focused on applying ICT advances to complex system of systems concepts in operational environments, with deep exploration of the intersections of cognitive behavior for social networking and decision making, distributed networks, autonomic systems, and swarming of humans, machines, and sensors.
His experiences include management consulting, strategy, and transformation services to public and private sector organizations. Beyond his public sector experience, JD led revenue generation and operational excellence CxO programs for G200 Manufacturing and Chemical environments. Specific aerospace experiences include Network Centric Operations, Government Mission Accelerators/Execution; Network Centric Logistics; Large Scale Program Management; Products/Platforms ICT integration (air, ground, sea, space).
