The Terrestrial Carbon Group

The Terrestrial Carbon Group is an international group of specialists from science, economics, and public policy with expertise in land management, climate change and markets. Its objective is to ensure that terrestrial carbon is effectively included in the international response to climate change. The members and the secretariat that supports them together make up the Terrestrial Carbon Group Project. Leading the drive to seize the full mitigation potential of terrestrial carbon and land management, the Project is purpose built to deliver cut-through solutions in the fast-paced and evolving world of climate change mitigation. Based at The H. John Heinz III Center for Science, Economics and the Environment, the Project interacts with actors from the public and private sector across the globe. In cooperation with The Planetary Skin Institute, the Project will continue to forge ahead in its pivotal work identifying and developing the essential functions and methodologies needed to allow the world to deliver terrestrial carbon mitigation at scale.
