Wes Frye is Chief Development Officer (Energy) for Planetary Skin Institute, on secondment from Cisco. He is responsible for creating a global resource and risk management decision support system for the energy eco-system and related infrastructures.
He is one of the founders of Cisco’s new energy ventures, including smart grid solutions to automate the electricity distribution grid; home and building management platforms to improve energy efficiency; and software systems to help users understand and manage their energy consumption.
Prior to this, Wes led Cisco’s Aerospace innovation practice where he focused on helping Fortune 100 aerospace companies to streamline product development, supply chain, manufacturing, and logistics operations and to build strategies to grow revenues through technology-enabled products
Before joining Cisco, Wes was a management consultant at Booz, Allen, Hamilton, as Principal of the Aerospace practice where his clients included Boeing, General Electric, NASA, Volvo, Los Alamos National Lab, amongst others.
Wes has an MBA with honors from Columbia University and M.S. and B.S. engineering degrees from Brown University.
